Why the name "eurpod"?

The word EU in Latin means "good or well". This website offers both well-written reviews of different technology products.

It also gives good information or perspective on the product in question: Windows vista/home server, the iPod, Zune, etc.

There are podcasts, which try to give a listener a good idea on how a product functions. These can be found on the tech rev podcasts page.

And now, Welcome to the new eurpod website!

A brief history of the website

This Website was started because of two different reasons:In may 2005, I acquired my first Windows Vista build. In the months that followed, I wrote 4 more reviews. These kept building up on forums, making them to be all over the place. After writing my final 8000 word Windows Vista review, I decided that it was time to create a website, fast.

I also joined the Windows home server beta team, purchased a zune, and briefly looked at the Mac. This created an urge to write more and more.

The contents of the site used to be hosted on a server, maintained by Raydi. I respect Raydi, as they gave 2 GB of hosting for free with unmetered banwidth ; however, it had adds on the bottom of pages + website uptime wasn't the best.

you might find, while looking at the reviews, that they contain information for visually impaired/blind people. The reason for this is because I myself am a visually impaired person, and therefore cannot write much about visual graphics or looks. All information I obtained about visual elements were collected from various people.

I believe in equality: I think that we, the blind community, can achieve the same kinds of success that the sighted can. This was one big reason for writing all my reviews: To prove the world that I'm not afraid to test out and delv into a product that would otherwise look to be impossible to use.

Beside this site, there are a few other projects I'm currently involved in. Go to the other projects page to learn more about them.
